we always looks the texture scraps which representing an image, while viewing profiles on orkut. and then wonders how does one can create the texture block that represent some image. in technical term it is called asciigenerator. and it is very easy to generate by the given tools. here are some freely available tools to generate the ascii texts of an image.

ASCIIArtist

The tool ASCIIArtist at the site toolpanel.org enables you to
  • upload your image
  • select the quality (1 for largest = best)
  • colour mode
  • hexadecimal colour
  • you can select vertical and horizontal flips
  • and other things.....
and then just click on render button. which will open a new window with your image in ascii texture format. now copy and paste the whole texture in your friends scrapbook text box. and surprise him/her.

This above tool is actually inspiration of Boosty's ASCIIArtist.
